Personal Guru Goaltender Training

Puckstoppers now uses Dartfish Video Imaging in our Personal Guru Program to help define and correct problems. Dartfish is used by professional athletes, teams and most recently by NBC during their coverage of the Winter Olympics, because it is the best technology on the market! We are the ONLY Goaltending School in the world using this advanced technology!

This course may be combined or added to our other goaltending programs (Essentials or Intensity) or taken as an individual program. We strongly recommend adding this training to one of our other programs, to get full benefit from the guidance and instruction provided.
The 'Guru' program is designed to benefit those dedicated goaltenders who want and desire personal instruction and added ice time. The 'Personal Guru' program provides students with one hour of added instruction in the morning and another hour in the afternoon. This added time is spent working in small groups of only two goaltenders with one instructor per group.

The benefit of adding this program to one of our other programs is that it gives the instructors and students the time to work on specific problems or challenges that may have come to light in the regular training session. Our goal in these sessions is not to work a student 'till they drop' but to nurture the student and instruct them through the intricacies of their movements and motions and refine their technique. The personal attention that is available in these sessions is amazingly effective in providing the ultimate coaching experience possible.

Our very best and most experienced instructors, who have a passionate dedication to excellence, will all be available during these sessions. The first 30 minutes of the program will be spent individually analyzing each students moves and actions on the ice. Students are also to come prepared with a specific list of goals they would like to accomplish during these specialized sessions, this will maximize our ability to focus on each students specific needs during these session.

FEATURES OF THIS PROGRAM

-Parent & Student Seminar on Sunday. This new addition to the program is unlike any other program in existence. Designed to keep parents informed and educated.

-One hours of ice time daily, 5 hours total
-Very limited enrolment, still availablle
-One goaltending instructor for every two students (often 1 to 1).
-Only 2 students per on ice station
-Only experienced veteran instructors who connect and care about each students development and growth
-Earlier final day completion time to help accommodate travel schedules
-Skilled shooters include pro and 'A' or higher players
-YEAR ROUND E-mail support system by our professional coaching staff and Camp Director Chris Dyson
-FREE Professionally designed 2 month pre camp conditioning program
-Nutritional program outline, tailored for goalies
-Daily schedule designed with emphasis on proper recovery and body maintenance
-20-page student workbook that will be completed during the week and will become a training guide
-Personalized training advice to assist with continued development after the camp
-Best results when combined with the Essentials program OR Intensity program
-Program restricted to ages 10 and up
-Program held at the Western Fair Sports Centre
